Our commitment
Ranking is not for sale. Ever.
No insurer pays to rank higher on PinaX. No promoted tiers, no sponsored slots, no exceptions. This is not a slogan — it is something you can verify in the formula below.
Verifiable
Commission is not a variable in the formula
Pinax Score rates every insurer on 7 axes. These are all of the weights, summing to exactly 1.00. Read the whole table and you will not find commission — not because its weight is zero, but because it was never put into the formula.

How PinaX makes money
Two separated layers
PinaX lives on commission from insurers — we are open about that. What matters is that commission is confined to its own layer and cannot reach the ranking layer.
Customer layer — who fits best
Decided by Pinax Score on the 7 axes above. PinaX picks which insurers receive your request BEFORE knowing any commission figure. Not because we promise not to look — but because there is nothing to look at yet.
Financial layer — what PinaX earns
Only when two member companies of the SAME insurer quote you identical terms does PinaX auction its own commission between them. At that point every choice is equal for you, so the auction cannot touch your interests.
Different quotes → the best one for the customer wins, no auction. Enforced by the system, not by anyone's goodwill.
Why we spell this out
The industry norm runs the other way
On many large intermediary platforms, paying more buys better visibility, an openly published model rather than a secret. Booking.com runs a partner programme where a higher commission rate buys improved visibility; e-commerce marketplaces sell search placement.
That model is legal and effective at generating revenue. PinaX chose not to use it, because in insurance a wrong ranking does not merely make you overpay — it puts the wrong contract in your hands on the exact day you need it most.
Binding
A promise that costs us to break
- 01
This clause sits in the partner registration document and in the agency contract signed with each member company — not only on a web page.
- 02
The commission auction rules are published in full to every partner, with worked examples. Participants know exactly how it works.
- 03
Every recommendation shown to you carries its matching rationale and its caveats — including the unfavourable ones.
